Storage insurance is a simple process and can be arranged at $2 per month for every $1,000 of insured contents (the minimum insured amount is $5,000).
You May Already Be Covered For Storage
Check with your Home and Contents Insurance. Many of these policies will cover your stored goods. It’s important to check that your particular policy covers mobile storage and you may be required to notify your insurers of our local storage facility’s location. Some Home and Contents insurers may also cover your move into and out of storage. It’s important to check your policy and if not, secure this insurance before your moving date.
Handling and Transit Insurance
Please note that under the Customer Storage Insurance Benefits policy your goods are NOT covered for damage caused during handling or transit. In many cases, your House and Contents insurance will cover any handling and transit claims.
